Chapter 156
Jon took the bottle and pulled Kate in as he started a close approximation of his hip swiveling making love without making love type dance style. "Well it’s why we’re gonna help Kinison with it babe." One of his favorite memories started to play out in his head, the vision of Kate, a wet t-shirt and wild thing on the radio. When he’d gotten the call he couldn’t resist.
Elena's eyes went unholy and bright as she began to shimmy and sway towards Richie, her body bending and fingers snapping. "Wanna dance Pony?"
Richie tossed back another shot glass and followed her wiggling little butt onto the make-shift dance floor. A little liquid courage and he was willing to dance in front of people.
Jon pulled Kate closer, his lips brushing against her ear as they began to sway, his voice still rough, but strong as he sang into her ear,
"Wild thing...you make my heart sing...
You make everything
Groovy
I said wild thing..."
Elena pressed closer letting the music take her as she vibrated and shimmied just a little bit harder, even lending her voice to the singer,
Richie slid his fingers down the curve of her hips following the restless movements until they matched him. He curled his fingers around the front of her pulling her back against him. Her little butt bumped him at the tops of his thighs stirring him.
She did a slow roll and shimmy against him, her eyes darkening as she continued to sing. He made her wild, and it came out in each little shake and vibration as she moved against him.
Jon pulled Kate in closer, his lips barely there against the shell of her ear. "Wild thing, you make my heart sing...." Even when his throat didn't want to do as it was supposed to, this one woman made his heart lighter than air, gave wings to the songs and words in his heart, "You make everything grooooovy, wild thing."
Kate's eyes widened as he bumped against her butt. Bourbon flared through her veins, making her bold. He’d remembered she loved the song enough to want to help someone with it? No wonder he got to her so easily, She dropped one hand down to his thigh, clutching the muscles there, the other raised around his neck into the hair she couldn't quite ignore. Pulling him closer, she followed his lead.
He groaned as her ass undulated slowly, his eyes widening just a bit. And she said she couldn't dance? His arms wrapped tighter as the words trailed off and he lost himself in her heat and touch. “God the things you do to me baby."
"And I plan on doing them at least twice tonight...maybe more," she said against his cheek. She turned, uncaring that there was a room full of people. She caught the corner of his mouth in a kiss. Pleased when he leaned in, his fingers brushing her neck to angle her back and up against him.
The kiss was slow and smoky as the song that overlaid the end of Wild Thing. The essential heart of Elvis swept through the room. As did the way Jon's hips moved. She laughed into his mouth. "Hips just can't help themselves?"
His voice went a little bit Memphis as he grinned, "Ahauh."
She laughed and slid her hand over his at her waist. He grabbed her hand and swung her out then back into his arms as the two minute song quickly shaded into Return to Sender.
She heard Elena's squeal of similar laughter and grooved into his arms while Richie and Elena fell into a quick two step with more fancy footwork on Richie's part than she'd ever thought possible. "I didn't know Richie knew how to dance."
Jon glanced over a moment and snorted. "Lots about King people don’t know. His folks were big on dancing, hell if they didn't make him take a class or two I think." he quickly turned back to her, his nose burrowing in her hair as he softly hummed along with the song.
She watched for a moment more, turning into his arms sliding into the High School equivalent of a box step. "Well it's nice to know it's not only this white boy that lies about dancing." She let her thigh slide between his. "Can't dance my big butt."
Elena laughed as he twirled her again. He could dance? Damn he could DANCE! Every step she made, he countered it, their two step getting intricate. "You can dance..."
"I don't dance, can't dance a step, Body just moves to the music baby." Jon’s brows waggled as he pulled her in closer, a near groan on his lips at the deadly thigh slide. "I just shake my ass. You know that."
Kate's hands slid down to his butt. "Oh this, you mean?" She squeezed, cupping him even closer. "I know you can shake this. I say we shake this," she smacked the taut cheek, laughing when his eyes widened, "up those stairs. I'd really like to see that pretty guest room."
His hands slid around her waist and with a grin she was over his shoulders. He turned threw a wink Richie's way and started for the stairs. "I'll see you assholes later. I got business to do."
Richie just laughed and spun his bride around and tucked her into the next song that loosened his dancing gene. Old steps from dancing with his mother for practice came back as he twirled her around the room.
She followed his lead without effort. The impromptu jitterbug put the glitter back in her eyes finally taking he edge off the scene on the deck. He could have killed Al for bringing that shitty attitude to the party.
