Chapter 121

Richie paced the green room. "Where the hell is my wife man? The show's been over for nearly forty minutes."

Jon glanced up at Richie then looked around. "Fuck you’re right, and I don’t see Kate either."

"I didn't think you noticed," Richie smirked at Jon. "Enjoy the Mayor's daughter?"

Jon rolled his eyes, "Just biding time my man, but you're right, the girls should of  been here by now."

His mind went spiraling as he wondered where his Kate had went. Had she stepped in and seen him chatting up the Mayor's daughter? Didn't she get that it was just a part of business?? Shit how can we find them?"

"Well they couldn't have gone far. They don’t know Philly. I don't think they'd leave the building." Richie walked over to the door way. "Hey Michael!"

Michael turned around. "Hey Rich, what's up?"

"Dude, I lost my wife. She's wandering around with her best friend, Kate. She's a redhead."

Michael nodded, "I'll call around to the detail and see if anyone's seen them."

"Thanks, man." Richie ducked back in. "Man, I just didn't need this tonight. I knew I should have told her to stay side stage."

Jon snorted and thumped him on the back. "Sometimes dude you are just too protective. They're probably off chatting with someone."

"Kate hasn't seen you in weeks and she's gonna chat up a fan? I doubt it." Richie popped a knuckle.

"Man the woman's mind eludes me. I'm just a guy." Jon grinned as he watched Richie worry. "Fuck man you worry worse than a woman at that."

"Yeah, well I have cause to worry." he paced. He'd told her he would keep her safe always. This wasn't the way to inspire trust if he couldn't find her five minutes after he got off stage.

Jon winced. He'd forgotten their earlier troubles. Shit he hoped she hadn't managed to find more of that type of trouble, it would kill Richie. "Dude they're probably ok."

Richie hovered around the doorway. Where the hell could they have gone?

"Man, you shoulda scene the guys downstairs hauling off two chicks! The littler one totally took him out."

Richie reached out and grabbed for the kid outside. "What'd she look like?"

The 18 year old roadie shuddered as Richie lifted him to his height. "Uh, brunette and pretty."

"Where were they headed?"

"I think they were getting put in the security room until the police arrive."

Jon moved over as Richie hefted the young roadie. "What's up?"

"I've got a bad feeling." Richie said and dropped the kid. "Show me," he muttered.

Jon didn't like Richie's bad feelings, they always came on the head of a lot of usual bad happenings. "Man I hate when you do that."

He looked at the roadie and nodded. "Show us."

The kid stepped out on he the stage and pointed. "Down there, Mr.Bon Jovi and Mr. Sambora.” He pointed to the curtained in corner.

Richie sighed. "What the hell has she gotten into now?"

Jon chortled as he walked beside Richie. "It's your wife man, it could be anything."

"Yeah, well she's with your girlfriend, it's probably her fault." Richie's long legged stride ate up the arena.

Jon started laughing, "Kate's told me all about little Elena. Teensy gets her into trouble. Teensy is the fireball, my Kate? She’s the steady one."

"Steadily getting her ass in trouble," Richie muttered and caught sight of Kate with her arms around her back and a belligerent light in her eyes. Oh hell, Elena was going to be ten times worse.

She glanced up as two male bodies entered the room, her dark brown gaze lighting with a crazed mixture of fury and humor. "You are soo in for it Mr. Security Man."

"What the fuck is going on here?" Richie bellowed.

Elena stood and turned her back to Richie showing him her tightly bound wrists and laughed, "I think I'm sorta close to being arrested?" She glanced back over her shoulder, her gaze spearing the fat slimy roadie. "But dammit he deserved what he got, jackass don't know how to treat a lady." She tilted her head and gazed at him over her shoulder her grin widening as the fury seeped from her eyes to be replaced with devilish humor.

Jon stepped over to Kate shaking his head as he noted she was as tightly cuffed as her friend. "And you, what's your story Katy?"

"Well, Elena drop kicked one of them and the other one pushed me into a wall so I would be the same trouble. Though he did get a kick in the balls for his trouble."

"We tried to subdue the women--"

Richie interrupted him. "Why were they held? That's my fucking wife you idiot." He turned to Elena. "Where the hell is your laminate?"

Elena blushed to the roots of her hair. "Probably dangling from some groupie’s neck. It was pretty close out there. But hell they all know me.. or so I thought. Baby I think we need a freaking code word I swear to god, these two apes didn’t believe me."

"That's why there's a laminate, darlin'. They are oh so useful in that regard."

She glanced at Kate and started laughing, "Unless they get stolen." She slid closer to Richie, "Can I kick him again? Just once? I mean I don’t suck anyone off but you."

Richie turned to the guard and lifted him by the collar. "You wouldn't have propositioned my wife, would you?" He pressed him into the smooth concrete wall, clamping his hand around his neck.

Elena rolled her eyes at Richie. "That's not gonna get me untied handsome." She looked over at Jon, "MopTop.. help here, him beating up the bad guys wont get our hands untied. "

Jon coughed to cover the laughter that was bubbling near the surface. It would figure, put Teensy in the audience and she starts a roust. God she was something else, thank god she was all Richie’s. Turning to Richie he grinned at the skinny guard dangling from Richie’s hands, "Uhh man, might wanna not kill the guards."

Kate crossed one leg over another. This was not what she'd been looking for when she'd driven out to see Jon. What the hell? Was it because of Elena? Or just her fucking karma?

She looked up at Jon's smirk and decided it was her fucking karma. "Would you do something? Not just stand there and smirk?!"

His eyes sparkled as he turned towards Kate. "Oh I dunno, you all tied up is bringing a myriad of possibilities to mind baby." He winked and moved over to Richie. "Now King, if you'll put the little guy down maybe we can get our girls untied."

Richie stared at the guard then back at Elena, then to Jon. He bounced the lanky piece of shit's head against the wall one more time. "I'm not sure he gets the severity of the situation here."

"I was just--" the guy got cut off as Richie pressed the palm of his hand deeper into his larynx.

"You were just..." Richie leaned in. "You were going to apologize to my wife is what you were going to do."

The heavier set guy finally came up for hair from the knock to the nuts. "We called the green room like we're supposed to and were told that no one knew the ladies."

Richie let the lanky one loose and turned around as he folded into a heap on the floor gasping. "Who the fuck told you that?!"

The heavy set guard grasped the edge of the counter. "I talked to Michael, Mr. Sambora."

"I'm gonna kill him!"
